Dr. Varadarajan Sreenivasan

Dr. Varadarajan Sreenivasan is a Telecom/Enterprise Solution & System Architect with 26+ years of experience in telecom cloud, analytics, network AI/ML, and OAM systems spanning FTTX, Optical Core, 5G, Wi-Fi, and IT domains.

At Samsung Networks, he leads a 140-member team driving innovations in cloud-native telecom, ORAN, Nephio, and network AI/ML frameworks. He has 20+ innovation projects, 15+ AI patents (5 published in US), and has been a key contributor to 3GPP SA5/SA6 standards and Open Source leadership in ORAN and Nephio.

His vision focuses on:

1. Simplifying enterprise/cellular networks by converging RAN, Core, and Transport with cloud-native solutions.
2. Closed-loop automation frameworks using NLP and GenAI for zero-touch networks.

With extensive contributions across Huawei, Nortel, and Samsung, Varadarajan has pioneered AI-driven telecom solutions, cloud-native automation, and open-source collaborations shaping the future of next-gen networks.

Dr. Soma Pandey is BTech from NIT Bhopal in computer technology. Her post-graduation is in Software systems and doctoral research in area of wireless mesh networks.She conceptualized start up in embedded systems way back in 1999 and successfully managed it as its Director and GM for 10 years. She has worked in various organizations in leadership positions with work mainly focused on embedded systems and IoT. Presently she is working as AVP, IOT Engineering, at Jio Platforms Limited. She has been IEEE member for last 13 years and was elevated as senior member in 2016. She has many IEEE conference and journal publications and has been reviewer for many IEEE international conferences and journals. She has served as volunteer for IEEE in various capacity. She has served in IEEE Women in Engineering Execom, ComSoc Execom and Bangalore Section EXECOM. Presently she is in IEEE Communication Society - Bangalore Chapter, Executive committee. She was given IEEE ComSoc Women in Engineering Champion Award and IEEE Comsoc Protsahan award. She received Best research paper award 2023 and IEEE Women in Engineering Outstanding Volunteer GOLD award. She has also received IEEE Women in Engineering Champion Award in 2020, IEEE COMSOC Award for Mentor Mentee program support and COMSOC award for newsletter and sensor council collaboration for year 2023. She was also given IEEE Impactful Innovation award for year 2022 in ICWITE. Her core area of interests are Wireless LAN and PAN networks, IoT communication protocols, Wireless sensor engineering, IoT platforms and Low Power networks. She is also a volunteer for various environmental causes including solid waste management, forest conservation and river conservation. Her motto is “To save environment, our society, must consume things by need, and not by greed”

Mr. Srimanu Prasad, Senior Director at Samsung Research Institute Bangalore (SRIB), is an accomplished technologist with 27 years of experience in software development across network and mobile domains. He currently heads the Tech Strategy and R&D Strategy Group at SRIB and leads PRISM (Preparing and Inspiring Students’ Mind), a flagship initiative nurturing innovation among students. With expertise spanning project management, enterprise data governance, AI-driven solutions, and IT infrastructure management, he has a proven track record in building high-performance teams and delivering customer-centric innovations. Mr. Prasad will join us as the Guest of Honor and deliver a brief address during the inauguration.
